A new concept in Electrical Energy Monitoring

What is it?

·       An easy to install and use Electrical power monitor that can be fitted on either a permanent or a temporary basis on any size of  installation from 5amp single phase to 3000 amp 3 phase.

What does it do?

·       Monitors electrical power

·       Displays the results directly in £+p

·       Records and graphs power use over any time period.

·       Gives you the ability, by the use of a touch screen display to monitor and record :-

1.   The name of the plant or area under test.

2.   Individual Job numbers related to the test

3.   Start and stop times of the test period.

4.   Alarms and events can be set

5.   Min and Max values can be captured

All parameters are data logged and can be easily down loaded by direct connection to your network or from a built in flash card.

HOW TO INSTALL AND PROGRAM THE SYSTEM

Example:-  You want to want to check the power usage (in £+p terms!) on a large oven in the factory area which is heating components to Anneal them.

This is what you do:-

1)   Install the current clamps on to the 3phase cable to the oven as shown :-

Fig1                                         picture

2)   Connect the data cable into the monitor box

fig 2                                          picture

3)   Program the test data:-

By simply touching the icon on the screen – type in the information – press enter

·        Time and date of the Start of the test

·        Time and date of the finish of the test

·        Location of the test ie Annealing Oven No, 2 Department 5

·        Job number of the items being treated

Press start !   Time taken 10 – 15 minutes

What benefit to I get from monitoring Electric Power this way?

·        True cost of processing each component

·        You would know how much it had cost to heat up the oven before the annealing began, also had the oven been left running empty and for how long after the process had been completed.

This energy monitoring system has a massive potential to save you money. How?

By its built in ability to measure many process parameters at the same time as the Energy Monitoring is taking place.

These include :-

·       Temperature – -40 to +1200 degrees C

·       Track speed

·       Pressure

·       Flow gas and liquid

·       Door positioning open/close position

·       Lighting levels

·       Etc etc

By connecting the HMI directly to your network the information can be viewed by any member of staff with access – a powerful tool when the cost of running their department, their office or their equipment is displayed in front of them!

Now the really good news 1off HMI Screen can be used to monitor, record and data log up to 22 Energy Measurement points at one time, situated anywhere on your site, giving you the ability to have complete knowledge of where, when and how Electricity is or has been used over any given period.
